Jul 28, 2026 at 10:33 AMSad news reaches Dreier AG: The long-time managing director and second-generation owner, Hans-Rudolf Dreier, has passed away at the age of 96. He died peacefully just hours before his 97th birthday.
Commitment and Vision Shaped the Company’s Leadership
Hans-Rudolf Dreier, who grew up as the third son of the company’s founder Adolf Dreier, was closely connected to Dreier AG from a young age. He took on responsibility early and led the company with vision and entrepreneurial courage. In the 1960s, he played a key role in founding the transport community for highway construction in Aargau. In the 1970s, he advanced the establishment of transport connections to the Middle East, including countries such as Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and North Africa. These initiatives laid the foundation for the current success of Dreier AG.
Hans-Rudolf Dreier placed great value on the people around him, both employees and his family. In 1994, he handed over the management of the company to his son Hans-Peter Dreier but remained closely connected to the firm until his old age. Until shortly before his death, he passionately engaged in oil purchasing and was responsible for selecting the wine for Christmas gifts to customers.
Dreier AG and its employees will fondly remember Hans-Rudolf Dreier for his exceptional commitment, down-to-earth nature, and deep connection to the company. His contributions will hold a lasting place in the history of the firm.
