Kardex automates distribution center for Groupe Madrigall
Aug 3, 2026 at 2:32 PMThe Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH, based in Fahrweid/Dietikon, put nine new Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 into operation on June 20, 2026. This investment aims to expand the company’s capacities in beverage logistics. The new vehicles are specifically designed for the demanding distribution traffic throughout Switzerland.
The company has been active in national distribution logistics for many years and has strategically expanded its offerings to include beverage logistics. With the new trucks, the family-owned business strengthens its fleet to reliably supply sales points with beer, mineral water, and other beverages. Managing Director Zijadin „Ziki“ Avdimetaj received the new vehicles together with his team and operations and fleet manager Michèle Salvati.
Technical features of the new vehicles
The new Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 are equipped with an 11-liter engine that delivers 380 hp. The automated transmission makes work easier for drivers, especially in stop-and-go traffic, ensuring a relaxed workday.
For a variety of transport tasks, the vehicles are equipped at the rear cross member with both a standard CH Rockinger coupling and a 3.5-ton ball hitch. This allows for the use of different types of trailers, from refrigerated trailers to two-axle fixed trailers.
The body from ORTEN Fahrzeugbau is specifically tailored to the requirements of beverage logistics. With 18 pallet spaces, a 2-ton lift platform, and a robust sliding tarpaulin structure with a side access option, it provides optimal conditions for daily distribution traffic.
Additionally, the vehicles are equipped with a side turning camera and the Global cab with onboard refrigerator, which enhances the comfort and safety of drivers in their daily work.
Statements from the responsible parties
Zijadin Avdimetaj, Managing Director of Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH, commented on the new vehicles: „With these vehicles, we will be able to deliver goods to their destinations in beverage logistics even more efficiently, quickly, and safely. Our drivers are excited about the increased comfort and performance of these new tools!“
Tarcis Berberat, Managing Director of Renault Trucks (Switzerland) AG, emphasized the close collaboration with Avdimetaj: „We are very proud that Ziki Avdimetaj has once again placed his trust in us for this procurement. Thanks to the close cooperation with him and Michèle Salvati, we were able to put together working tools that have been precisely produced to meet the high demands of beverage logistics and provide maximum safety and comfort for the drivers.“
