HOYER Group expands fleet with E-Trucks

The HOYER Group has expanded its fleet with four fully electric trucks in Switzerland. With this step, the company aims to strengthen sustainable transport solutions in regular operations, as it reports. The new E-trucks will be used for daily route planning and will be complemented by an intelligent charging system that can control the energy supply according to the deployment schedule for the following day. This measure is intended to support the decarbonization goals of the HOYER Group while ensuring reliable transport processing.

According to its own statements, the introduction of E-trucks is part of the HOYER Group’s strategy to develop sustainable and efficient transport solutions in collaboration with its customers. The company is already relying on alternative drives in several countries, including hydrogen, LNG, and CNG vehicles, as well as electric forklifts in the warehousing sector.

Efficiency gains through E-Trucks

In Switzerland, HOYER has confirmed the performance of the new E-trucks in the transport of liquefied gases. Thies Grage, Director SHEQS (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality & Sustainability) of the HOYER Group, explains: “By using fully electric vehicles, we can significantly reduce our energy consumption compared to diesel drives by about two-thirds.” These efficiency gains would reduce emissions and contribute to the long-term decarbonization of transport solutions.
