Kardex has received the mandate from Groupe Madrigall, a major publishing group in France, to implement an integrated automation solution for a new distribution center. Groupe Madrigall is the parent company of renowned publishers such as Gallimard, Flammarion, and Casterman.<\/p>\n
At the heart of the planned solution is an AutoStore system that includes approximately 300,000 storage containers and 300 robots. Kardex will also provide a Warehouse Control System (WCS) and will take on the integration of various automation components. These include conveyor technology, carton handling, and robotic palletizing. The solution aims to achieve a high goods throughput while optimizing storage density, operational efficiency, and system flexibility. Additionally, Kardex will offer long-term maintenance and lifecycle services to ensure the reliable operation of the facility throughout its entire lifespan.<\/p>\n
